Mohammed is the co-founder of DD&P Training Services Ltd. He is a pharmacist by profession and has in excess of 11 years experience. Mohammed was one of the first pharmacists in the UK to qualify as a supplementary prescriber and more recently he was one of the first pharmacists to qualify as an independent prescriber. He also holds a clinical diploma and has won a number of awards for his innovative work as a pharmacist; this includes the HITEA awards in 2002, the Pharmaceutical Care Awards 2001; and more recently, he and his team won the runner up prize of the Pharmaceutical Care Awards, 2005, for a diabetes management project within GP practices in Leicester.

Mohammed has many years experience of delivering clinical training to doctors, nurses and pharmacists, and their staff. As well as an assessor for DD&P, he also works as an independent prescribing consultant to primary care trusts and GP practices; he runs clinics for patients with uncontrolled chronic diseases (e.g. diabetes, CVD, asthma etc), and provides a business development consultancy service to dispensing doctors surgeries and community pharmacies.

As an assessor, Mohammed is very down to earth and approachable. He is passionate about education and continuing professional development. He is closely involved in the provision of all of the courses provided by DD&P, and has a hands on approach to NVQ assessment.

In addition Shirley works as a medicines management technician for Cambridgeshire PCT.

Shirley has a keen interest in maintaining patient confidentiality and is a key speaker on this subject. Shirley leads on our Caldicott CPD programmes (more information about this is available on our CPD page).
